In April, we found out our daughter had a tumor and would need "immediate" surgery. What we didn't know is that it would take 5 days for the surgery to occur. During the continued delays, we reached out to our sister-in-law who has spent 50+ years in NICU and she offered the SBAR process as a way to communicate with the healthcare professionals. It worked for us, so I thought you might like the insight. Yes, our daughter has fully recovered, and the tumor was determined to be benign. Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers! Navigating healthcare may easier.
