I grew up with health insurance as the main conversation at the dinner table. My Dad, Mom, and brother all worked together in a small agency as resellers of individual and small group health plans. My Dad always believed every moment was a teaching opportunity and I was always interested in learning. During college, I decided to get my insurance license - just in case. 

Forty years later, I still love working in the health insurance industry, continue to learn daily, and enjoy working in an industry that is extremely challenging.

 

For my career, I did not take the easy route, which in my case would have been BUCA (BCBS, United, Cigna, Aetna). Instead, I worked for lesser-known companies to break into a new markets. I possess the skills to knock on doors, make calls, and communicate complex ideas and products to prospects. These skills have served me well and provided for my remarkably successful career.
